My own recollection was that the watch I examined had no legend on the dial to indicate water resistance (like the model I show above). The first thing I wanted to know was just how waterproof the watch is, since it is styled like a diver and appeared to be well-built. Note that there is no water resistance stated on the dial. The specifications for this model are: 44mm stainless steel case with mineral glass crystal and unidirectional rotating bezel, screw-down back (and I believe, screw-down crown) and water resistant to 100 metres. The watch exactly as exhibited in the shop is this one (pic from ): Thus, I didn't purchase the watch on first appraisal, and subsequently I have done some research on the model. Usually with this shop, I tend to ignore the initial price given and then wait for some time until the price has come down to a reasonable sum. I first spied the watch a couple of weeks ago and went into the shop to have a look at it. So yes, we are here talking about the Rotary Aquaspeed range, and in particular a pre-owned quartz red-dial dive watch that I saw temptingly displayed in a shop recently. I have carried on with this second attempt because it has a personal facet and also echoes a written complaint made by a customer on Amazon who also found that he had been sold a near identical, but less well specified, Rotary Aquaspeed he had ordered.
